Southworth Purchases Acclaimed
New England Golf Club

Business partners David Southworth and Joseph Deitch recently purchased Renaissance Golf Club on Boston's North Shore for $9 Million. The Club opened in 2006 to great acclaim, including being selected by Golf Inc. Magazine as the year's 2nd best new golf development in America.

"Other than the Liberty National Golf Club, I have never seen a course built with such quality and attention to detail as Renaissance," said Southworth.   Renaissance is the first ever "signature" design from renowned golf architect Brian Silva.

David and Joe finalized their purchase of the high-end private golf club from Fairway Renaissance LLC of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on February 28, 2008. With the course finished and already considered one of the finest new layouts in New England, Southworth's team is moving full steam ahead on constructing a Clubhouse facility fitting of the caliber of the Club along with completing other key amenities and upgrades to the property that are sure to make Renaissance one of the region's most sought after memberships.

"Our plan is to begin building a full-service clubhouse befitting the exceptional quality of this course as soon as possible and to have the club remain private," says Southworth.   There are currently about 100 members at the club.   In addition to maintaining Renaissance as a private club, both Southworth and Deitch expect the facility to complement their existing business.   "In business we have always focused on delivering the highest level of service possible while at the same time cultivating a community which supports and nourishes everyone involved.   At the end of the day our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction is what makes us proud.   Renaissance is a perfect platform for such an endeavor," said Deitch

At Renaissance Golf Club, the overarching mission is to recreate the golf experience of 100 years ago.   What sets Renaissance apart from other private golf clubs is the rare convergence of classic golf, golf traditions and a golf course design inspired by the great Scottish links of the 19th century and landmark American layouts of the 1920's but with today's modern technology in mind.   Located on Boston's North Shore, Renaissance Golf Club is an 18-hole private golf club centered on honoring the traditions and spirit of the ancient game of golf and retro design and signature, for which course architect Brian Silva is renowned.   The 7,161-yard, par-72 course also features extensive practice facilities including a Short Game Area with multiple green complexes, Practice Fairway, Practice Green and Pool Facility.
